He can manipulate opponents and control their minds by saying something and they will agree to it. i.e if he ever wanted to break into a government building, he would get through even without identity. If that power was more commonly used, it would have been more necessary for him to be on the team. I think that power is useful for anyone that is an X-Man. So for that, Gambit is necessary. Now the one person that ISN'T necessary is Jubilee. Her powers were so ineffective. Gambit could cause a world destruction if he stored enough energy but Jubilee's couldn't do anything but blind opponents for a couple of seconds. Just a character that people like. I've only seen a few hate comments about him, but the majority like him or have him as a favourite character. If you asked anyone on a poll who their favourite character is, he is always mentioned frequently. I guess that tells you something right there.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5587780658254126152.post-90993000759105759602016-01-02T08:09:58.339-06:002016-01-02T08:09:58.339-06:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5587780658254126152.post-79365612451813522612016-01-02T08:07:45.216-06:002016-01-02T08:07:45.216-06:00And the Marauders thing I didn't like but his ...And the Marauders thing I didn't like but his Death storyline was pretty surprising. Even though it hurt me to see him turn really evil as he made a deal with Apocalypse. I've never read the whole story, but I heard he did it for selfless reasons. Still I have no desire to read it, nor the arc where Gambit went blind. He did not deserve that. P.S I wrote the first comment but didn't have it as my username and I deleted the previous two comments due to typing mistakes and I kind of contradicted myself with the Apocalypse Horsemen storyline. I couldn't edit it so I had to delete it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5587780658254126152.post-76380981489663028132016-01-02T08:05:23.104-06:002016-01-02T08:05:23.104-06:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5587780658254126152.post-59105482126975991752016-01-02T08:04:06.398-06:002016-01-02T08:04:06.398-06:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5587780658254126152.post-20333364937359448942016-01-02T07:59:56.868-06:002016-01-02T07:59:56.868-06:00If Gambit was a hated character then he wouldn'...If Gambit was a hated character then he wouldn't be a fan-favourite. I would have never of worn long coat. But Jean Claude Van Damme wore one in Hard Target and that was in New Orleans. He's just different: he's not a fearless leader like Cap, a smart@$$ like Spidey or even a nasty anti-hero like Wolverine (though that's probably the closest description). He has a more unique personality and that's what I like about him, like a Cajun James Dean. And you can't tell me that trench coat thing didn't catch on in the '90s.Frankie Addiegohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07014900023283833838noreply@blogger.com
